Redwood Stories

A Dance Adventure Camp

Redwood Stories offers a 3-day youth camp that will introduce participants to contemporary dance techniques, site-specific improvisations, and partnering. Participants will be guided in various composition exercises and will create devised performance, unveiling personal stories at the confluence of the environment.

This Dance Adventure will be filled with joy, connection and taking playful risks.

At the end of camp, participants can invite their community to come

and enjoy a Site-Specific Performance!

This is an amazing opportunity for Youth to dive into creative practice and share parts of their process with the support of their community and natural environment.

Intention: to create a space for young women, non-binary, and non-gender conforming youth to connect through expressive arts and storytelling while taking playful risks in the heart of the Redwoods and Smith River. We strive to cultivate a space that invites honesty, vulnerability, and courage to speak one’s truth while providing resources and opportunities to support others in their sharing of oneself.
